(<em>Bit of a niche choice?<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>I played club at the start and then went into competitive representative teams.<\/p>\n<p>When I first tried out for reps, I didn\u2019t make it but I was only 7 trying out for the under 11s team. I was quite upset so trained even harder for the next year and at age 8 I finally got in to the U11s (<em>\u2026whooooppppeeeeee!<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>Ever since then, every junior rep team that I have tried out for I\u2019ve got into under 14s, 16s and 18s (<em>Yes, that\u2019s right\u2026 U18s!! Remember Cam is only 13 years old<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>This year I made the Country NSW team. Out of 20-30 kids only 12 of us were selected. I was really nervous, it was about 3 weeks between the trials and when the announcements came, but when the team list was posted I was soooooo excited to see my name on it.<\/p>\n<p>I play catcher, which is the most physically demanding position. Every pitch you have to squat, butt to heel to catch the ball then rise to throw it back to the pitcher \u2013 try doing that for an hour solid per game and 6 games per weekend at a tournament! It\u2019s one of the most vital positions on the field. A bit like a wicket-keeper in cricket.<\/p>\n<p>If you wanna meet a lot of cool people and have fun, check out your local teams through the Central Coast Softball Association.
