GenQ is a safe place for young people 12 – 17 years of age who identify as Sexuality and Gender Diverse (SGD)*. GenQ is an engaging, activity-based program for SGD young people to socialise, gain information and support, and have fun!
GenQ is a vital support service which builds connections for SGD young people, as well as running workshops and programs on issues such as self-esteem, confidence, and leadership skills, cyber-safety, identities, strategies around anxiety and stress management, dealing with homophobia and transphobia, coming out to friends, family, and at school. GenQ has now grown to a network of young people, youth workers, services, and health professionals who all work collectively to provide help and support to SGD young people on the Central Coast.
*also referred to as LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, and other gender and sexuality diverse people).
Our GenQ Group meets on the last Wednesday of every month from 4:00PM – 6:00PM
To register your interest please call Lexi, our GenQ facilitator, on 4323 2374 or to send an email to project.arts@ryss.com.au
